NRK: Infection outbreak reported on a foreign ship in Narvik, one person confirmed dead
A total of 21 people are in quarantine after an infection outbreak on a Filipino-registered ore ship in Narvik. One member of the crew is dead, according to the municipal authorities.
The death was confirmed on board the boat on Wednesday. The cause of death is not known, municipality chief Rolf Lossius in Narvik told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
It is not yet known whether this is a coronavirus outbreak. Testing of the deceased for COVID-19 will be carried out, Lossius stated.
