Al-Qaida in North Africa wants the West to bleed and eventually give up the region, says NUPI researcher Morten Boas.

AQIM, which is al Qaeda’s wing in North Africa, has claimed responsibility for the attack against at least one hotel and a cafe in Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou.
