Ocean Viking rescued 50 people in the Mediterranean

After an eight-hour search, the Norwegian-owned ship Ocean Viking picked up 50 people in the Mediterranean, MSF reports.

Among the fifty were ten children and one infant.

They were rescued from a crowded wooden boat in what is referred to as the Maltese search and rescue area.

According to the organizations, the rescue operation took place under demanding conditions.
