An extensive survey of employees in the Norwegian civil aviation shows that many are tired and feel physically exhausted after a working a shift.

Despite strict rest provisions, only 19 percent of pilots and 12 percent of cabin crew  say that from their daily experience they receive adequate rest and relaxation between work days.
The average for Norwegian workers is 71 percent.
Nearly four out of ten pilots and six out of ten cabin crew reported that they had gone to work two or more times in the last year despite the fact that they were so ill that they should have stayed at home.
The survey was conducted by the CAA and about half of the employees of Civil Aviation participated in the first nationwide study on civil aviation.
