A total of 10.4 million corona tests have been carried out in Norway. But every fourth person has never tested themselves.

74% of the population in Norway has taken a corona test since the spring of 2020. That means that one in four Norwegians has never taken the test, P4 writes.

“It has been a contribution to the entire Norwegian population that we managed to keep the pandemic under control and keep infection and hospitalization rates low through these 18 months,” department director at the National Institute of Public Health (FHI), Line Vold, told P4 News.

Vold has repeatedly emphasized the importance of getting tested if you have symptoms throughout the pandemic.
