According to the most recent VG poll, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (AP) has not impressed the majority of Norwegians in his new role. One in three Norwegians says they are satisfied with Støre’s management.

After four weeks of the new government being in place, 36% of voters say that Støre is not doing a particularly good or bad job, while 19% are not sure. 34% are satisfied, and only 11% are dissatisfied.

“One in three is satisfied, one in ten is dissatisfied, while very many are not completely sure, and that is perhaps not so strange after four weeks of the new government,” Jonas Gahr Støre wrote in an e-mail to the newspaper VG.

Progress Party (FRP) voters are least satisfied with Støre: Only 14% think Støre is doing a good job, while 36% think he is doing a bad job.

The government’s own voters are more positive: 61% of Labor Party voters and 53% of Center Party voters say that Støre is doing a good job.
