One third of Norwegians checks where their food comes from

One in three Norwegians checks where the food they buy comes from, according to a survey Sentio has carried out for newspaper Nationen.

Many people are concerned about where their food comes from, according to Nationen.

The survey from Sentio shows that 34% of Norwegians check the country of origin of the food. 

In comparison, 26% did the same in 2016, according to the newspaper.

A total of 29% occasionally check the country of origin, while 37% never check. 

In 2016, 45% of respondents answered that they never checked the country of origin of their food. 

A total of 1,000 people participated in the survey.

  1. I check most of the time where the food products I buy,
    come from. But sometimes am puzzled, as I read the
    words Norway, but that may only mean a Norwegian company
    is the importer. But that is not disclosed on the
    package. That leaves the buyer to assume it is a Norwegian product
