Nine out of ten Norwegians think the coronavirus will be with us for at least another six months, but fewer think the infection will be really long-lasting, according to a new survey.
In recent months, more and more people have felt that the coronavirus situation is here to stay.
However, in October, a small shift in people’s expectations has occurred, according to a survey by the Norwegian Corona Monitor from Opinion.
A total of 36% of Norwegians believe the pandemic will last for more than a year – a decrease of 9% from the September survey.
“It seems people see a little more light in the tunnel – unlike before,” senior adviser Nora Clausen at Opinion noted.
A total of 10% answered that the outbreak would last an additional six months, while 54% believe it will last another year.
On the other hand, 26% believe it could last up to two years, while 10% think it could last even longer.
A total of 23,000 people participated in the survey.
