Good chance of tropical heat on Tuesday

After a weekend that has been rainy in many parts of Norway, there will be temperatures up to 30 degrees in southern Norway on Tuesday.

– Will we get temperatures over 30 degrees on Tuesday, 31 May? There is a good chance of that in Southern Norway,  meteorologists at Meteorological Institute say on Twitter and present this promising Tuesday forecast for Southern Norway except Trøndelag:
– Nice and warm weather, but somewhat more cloudy in inner regions at the start of the day. The maximum temperature will be at 25-30 degrees.

This means we may get what meteorologists refer to as tropical heat. This means that the thermometer on a weather station shows temperatures at at least 30 degrees.
Easterly and north-easterly breeze, and the southern coast an northeasterly small and periodically near gale, will likely make the heat less oppressive.

The weather can get summery further north as well. In Trøndelag, Helgeland, Saltfjellet, Salten and Ofoten temperatures of up to 25 degrees have been forecast. In these parts of the country there may also be a fresh breeze on the coast.
In Lofoten, Vesterålen, Troms and Finnmark expected colder air masses are expected to arrive from the north and also cloudy weather conditions with some rain showers.
