Orange danger warning for rain and floods issued for Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal

Due to heavy rain and melting snow, an orange danger warning for floods and rain has been issued for parts of Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal.

From Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning, a lot of rain is expected locally in southern Trøndelag, the Meteorological Institute writes on its website.

Most rain is expected on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

According to Yr, there is also an orange danger warning for floods in parts of Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. Due to heavy rainfall and snowmelt, water flow is expected to increase in streams and rivers during the period.

“This can lead to extensive flooding in exposed areas,” Yr writes.

The risk of flooding is expected to decrease on Wednesday morning.
