Oslo: 1,100 new corona cases registered in the last 24 hours

A total of 1,100 corona cases have been registered in Oslo in the last 24 hours – 106 fewer than the day before and 37 fewer than the same day last week.

The current daily record for new cases was set on Tuesday when the Oslo Municipality reported 1,194 cases in the last 24 hours. The number was later adjusted to 1,206 cases.

In the last two weeks, an average of 994 infection cases have been registered per day.

The infection rates are highest in the Søndre Nordstrand district, with an infection pressure of 2,915 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks.

The infection figures are the lowest in the Nordre Aker, Sagene, and Østensjø districts.

A total of 83,774 Oslo citizens have been registered as infected with corona since March last year.

In the last 24 hours, 6,003 corona cases have been registered in Norway, the highest daily number during the pandemic.
