The 16-year-old boy that Norway’s Police Security Service has charged with preparations for terrorism has refused to be questioned in the two weeks he has been imprisoned.

The boy was presented in Oslo District Court in a new prison hearing at 10 o’clock on Friday morning.

The PST announced in advance that they would request two weeks of custody, newspaper Avisa Oslo reports.

So far, the Syrian boy has not been questioned by investigators.

“We are very interested in hearing his explanation, but it is his right not to give an explanation,” police attorney Thomas Blom at the PST told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK)

Poison

The boy was arrested on February 4. According to court documents, he was in the process of producing poison that he could use to commit terrorist acts by poisoning random people.

The boy’s defender, lawyer Andreas Berg Fevang, believes there is no good reason for suspicion and that the boy should be released.

The ruling is expected during the afternoon.
