Oslo: 22-year-old man accused of rape and attempted rape

A 22-year-old man from Oslo is accused of having raped a woman and of having tried to rape another. The trial against him starts on Tuesday in Oslo District Court.

According to the indictment, the 22-year-old man raped a woman in a parking lot in Bygdøy allé in Oslo on the night of June 19 this year.

Eight months earlier, in October 2020, the man is said to have tried to rape a woman in Tøyenparken in Oslo. He allegedly grabbed her by the neck, pushed her against a shed, and pulled down her blouse, but the woman escaped.

The indictment against the man also includes a case of sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.

The Oslo District Court has set aside four days for the processing of the case against the man.
