Oslo aims to vaccinate all 12-15-year-olds by the autumn holidays at the beginning of October, City Council chief Raymond Johansen stated on Friday.

“In Oslo, the vaccination is in full swing. We have vaccinated over 100,000 people in one week and have enough vaccine doses,” Johansen told news bureau NTB.

On Thursday, the government decided to follow the National Institute of Public Health’s recommendation to offer all children and young people between the ages of 12 and 15 one dose of the corona vaccine.

In Oslo, the goal is for everyone between the ages of 12 and 15 to be vaccinated by the autumn holidays, which will start on Monday, October 4, in the capital.

In order to achieve the goal, Oslo has to receive enough doses of the Pfizer vaccine, Johansen emphasized.
