Four men have been convicted in the Borgarting Court of Appeal for possession or complicity in the storage of 31 kilos of heroin in Oslo. It’s one of the largest seizures of heroin in Norway.

According to the verdict, the four men had different roles.

The heroin was seized in Oslo in March 2017 and accounted for 30% of all heroin seized that year.

Two of the accused contributed to the organization of the reception of the heroin at Svinesundparken and its transport to Oslo.

One was sentenced to 13 years in prison, and the other was sentenced to 13 years and eight months.

Moving the heroin

The third defendant received the heroin in Oslo and carried it to an apartment. He then carried 11 kilos of heroin out of the apartment and was in the process of transporting it to an unknown destination when he was arrested.

He was sentenced to twelve years in prison.

The fourth defendant showed the third defendant the way to the apartment.

He kept the entire heroin lot in the apartment until the 11 kilos were carried out of the apartment by the third defendant.

He was sentenced to twelve years and six months in prison.

Hashish

In addition, a fifth person, who was a courier, was charged in the same trial.

The courier was convicted of dealing 40 kilos of hashish. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
