Kindergartens in three Oslo districts may be hit by a strike tomorrow if the mediation fails. The mediation efforts are still underway.

The mediation deadline for the settlements both in the state and Oslo municipality is midnight on Thursday night.

The union will take out 1,600 members on strike if there is no agreement with the municipality.

Out of these, 600 work in kindergartens, after-school programs, and the district administration in the districts of Østensjø, Alna, and Frogner.

More parents and children may thus risk meeting closed doors in kindergartens and after-school programs on Thursday morning.

The union’s main requirement is to secure the right to negotiate a pension.
