Oslo: Man accused of stealing bags and watches worth several million kroner

A man in his 40s is accused of stealing expensive bags, jewelry, and watches worth several million kroner from apartments at Frogner in Oslo.

According to the indictment, the burglaries are said to have taken place in the period between July 2019 and July 2021. The thefts are considered serious because items of significant value have been stolen​.

According to the indictment, one burglary happened in June last year. The thief broke into a Frogner apartment by removing a window. There, he allegedly took watches, bags, and jewelry that had a total value of more than NOK 3 million.

In the autumn of 2020, he broke into another Frogner apartment, took close to 20 designer bags, and stole a car.

According to the indictment, the man also broke into apartments in other parts of the city. He is also accused of carrying a knife in a public place, as well as possession of cocaine.

The case will be processed in Oslo District Court on Tuesday, and two court days have been set aside for the case.
