A man in his 30s from Oslo has been sentenced to four years in prison for having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl.
According to the verdict from the Oslo District Court, the man and the girl came into contact after being neighbors in a district in Oslo.
According to the verdict, the assault took place in 2014 when the girl was visiting the man to eat waffles.
In 2018, the girl told a teacher at her school about the abuse, and the teacher then told the parents.
Shortly after, the girl reported the incident.
In court, the accused man denied the abuse. However, the court didn’t believe him.
NOK 200,000 fine
“After seeing pictures and sound recordings of the girl during questioning and hearing her explain herself during the main hearing, the court believes it is inconceivable that what she said was not self-experienced,” the verdict states.
The verdict also pointed out that the man’s telephone analysis shows that he searched for a website with child abuse.
The man was thus sentenced to four years in prison for the assault.
He must also pay the girl NOK 200,000 kroner.
