Oslo Municipality is giving NOK 10 million to the Norwegian Refugee Council (Flyktninghjelpen) in connection with the war in Ukraine.

“The war in Ukraine is a humanitarian catastrophe. According to the UN, more than 1 million people have fled to neighboring countries recently, and the number is rising with each passing day. The need for help is great,” City Council chief Raymond Johansen (AP) said.

The NRC is Norway’s largest humanitarian organization and has been present in Ukraine since 2014.
