The police confirmed that they had charged the son of lawyer Tor Kjærvik with the murder of his father on Monday night.

In an updated press release on Tuesday afternoon, the police confirmed that the lawyer’s son is charged in the murder case. The interrogation of the man in his 30s started on Tuesday afternoon.

“We now confirm that the accused is the son of the deceased,” the Oslo Police District stated.

The man has been appointed lawyer John Christian Elden as his defense counsel. The family of the victim has been appointed lawyer Ellen Holager Andenæs as their lawyer.
