A total of 223 corona infection cases have been registered in Oslo in the last 24 hours. That is almost twice as many cases as on the same day last week, when 127 cases were reported.

The district of Grorud now has 1,000 confirmed corona infection cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks on Grorud.

At Stovner, the corresponding figure is 1,015.

That means that 1% of the inhabitants in the two districts are currently infected with coronavirus, figures from Oslo Municipality show.

Infection rates tend to be slightly lower on weekends. On Friday, 314 new infection cases were registered, and on Thursday, a record was set with 352 cases in one day.

Ullern and Nordre Aker

The infection pressure is lowest in Ullern and Nordre Aker, with 214 and 224 infected per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, in the last two weeks.

A total of 23,154 Oslo citizens have been registered as infected since March last year.

However, almost 14% of the cases in Oslo, a total of 3,143, have been registered during the last two weeks.
