Oslo removes the watering ban
Oslo municipality has removed the watering ban on Thursday on horticulture. However, the municipality is introducing a regulation when watering is allowed.
The newly introduced rules apply to watering garden & lawns with a sprinkler or hose, odd-numbered households may water on odd dates between the hours of 21:00 and 23:00.
Even numbered households can water on even days at the same timeframe.
“We want to thank the residents of Oslo for taking responsibility and complying with the ban on horticulture. We have seen that water consumption has fallen during the ban, and it has helped us to secure the city’s water supply,” says Deputy Director Frode Hult, at the water and drainage plant in Oslo Municipality.
