Eight patients at Oslo University Hospital – Radiumhospitalet’s ward for gynecological cancer have tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, three employees have been diagnosed with the infection.

The information was confirmed by Oslo University Hospital, according to newspaper VG.

The hospital stated that the outbreak is probably due to several of the infected patients sharing a four-bed room.

Also, three employees have tested positive. These are believed to have been infected at work. As a result of the outbreak, ten employees are in quarantine due to close contact with an infected nurse or infected patient.

The outbreak will have no consequences for the operation of the hospital, NTB reports.
