Over 10,000 Coronavirus infections in Norway – 40 new cases in the last 24 hours

At midnight to Monday, 10,005 cases of the Coronavirus infection were registered in Norway, according to preliminary figures from the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH).

This is an increase of 40 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The increase is somewhat smaller than it has been in recent days. On Sunday, the number of infections increased by 57 new cases. The same increase was registered on Saturday, and since Friday the increase has been a total of 182 cases. The figures are taken from the Communicable Diseases Notification System (MSIS).

A total of 10,005 Norwegians tested positive for the Coronavirus. About 95 percent have recovered and are healthy, according to FHI.

A total of eight people were hospitalized on Friday positive for the Coronavirus and one of them is on a respirator, according to figures from the Norwegian Directorate of Health. The figures will not be updated during the weekends.

FHI has registered 261 corona-related deaths in this country.
