The two negotiating parties in the dairy industry, NHO Mat og Drikke and the Norwegian Food and Beverage Workers’ Union, reached an agreement on Saturday night.

537 Tine employees were ready to strike if there was no agreement in the mediation.

“I am pleased that we have avoided conflict and have achieved a result that we can recommend to our members,” chief negotiator Ann Elise Hildebrandt in the Norwegian Food and Beverage Workers’ Union (NNN) said.

She says working hours have been the most difficult point.

“We have reached an agreement that specifies daily working hours,” she noted.
