PHOTO: 33 Extinction Rebellion activists in Oslo have been fined

The Oslo Police have so far issued 33 fines to activists from Extinction Rebellion in connection with their demonstrations in Oslo.

The Oslo Police District announced the information on Tuesday.

Each of the fines amounts to NOK 13,000. A total of NOK 429,000 in fines has thus been issued to Extinction Rebellion activists after their protest actions in Oslo on Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday, the group staged a protest outside the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, at Majorstukrysset, and at Ankerbrua by Grünerløkka in Oslo. A total of 48 people were brought in or arrested during these protests.

On Tuesday, the group blocked the intersection of Frederiks gate and Karl Johans gate by the Palace in Oslo, and they also showed up outside the Ministry of Climate and the Environment.
