Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (AP) has a lot of things he wants to do. On his first day on the new job, he singled out the state budget as one of the top priorities.
On Thursday afternoon, Støre met the press at his new office in central Oslo. He told journalists that the state budget is high on his list of priorities.
“It is the first task, and there is a lot of politics there. People must see that it is their turn now,” newly-appointed Prime Minister Støre noted.
“We had a 100-day plan with 40 points, and it is almost intact within the Hurdal platform,” Støre said.
On Thursday, Jonas Gahr Støre presented a young government team consisting of ten women and nine men. His government team is young, with an average age of 46 years.
