On Thursday, the snow is creating major problems on the Sørlandet Line. A freight train blocked the stretch between Gjerstad and Skorstøl, leading to delays.
The Sørlandet Line is a railway line between Drammen via Kristiansand to Stavanger.
“The freight train had locomotive problems on the Sørlandet Line but it managed to solve them and is now progressing at a slow speed due to the harsh weather conditions.
“But the stretch between Gjerstad and Skorstøl is open, and the passenger trains are operating. There will still be severe delays and cancellations,” Bane Nor wrote on Twitter.
The regional trains between Nelaug and Arendal and Oslo-Stavanger are also affected.
