PHOTO: Truck driver seriously injured in traffic accident in Spydeberg
A man has been sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a truck drove off the road in Spydeberg in Østfold early Friday morning.
The police received the report at 5:02 AM on Friday. A truck drove through the guardrail and ended up in the ditch. The driver was conscious but was described as seriously injured.
“He received first aid on the spot before he was taken to the hospital by an ambulance,” operations manager Jan-André Delbeck in the Eastern Police District told NTB.
He said that 20-30 meters of guardrail were destroyed and that the road shoulder was damaged. Only the truck driver was involved in the accident.
“The decision has been made to confiscate his driver’s license,” Delbeck said.
