A man died on Saturday after being stabbed outdoors in Haugesund. Two men are charged with murder and complicity in murder.
The police received notification of the case at 1:28 AM on Saturday, the Southwestern Police District announced in a press release on Sunday.
The man was stabbed outdoors in Presthaugvegen, which is located just east of central Haugesund. The police informed NTB on Saturday that the incident happened at a private address.
The police and ambulance were quickly on the scene. However, the man was declared dead around 2:10 AM, according to the police.
“Two people were arrested near the scene shortly after the police arrived. The two have been charged with murder and complicity in murder, respectively,” police attorney Fredrik Martin Soma said on Sunday.
The man’s relatives have been notified, the police say.
