The fire service is still working to put out the flames in the old milk factory at Kapp in Østre Toten. The cause of the fire is unknown.
The fire started just before 3:00 PM on Friday, and the fire brigade managed to get it under control about four hours later.
“There were still embers and small flames the last time the police stopped by.
“The fire service is still working there and will continue to operate throughout the afternoon,” operations manager Bård Einar Hoft in the Innlandet Police District told newspaper Oppland Arbeiderblad on Saturday morning.
The building is made of brick, and thus the risk of the fire spreading was not so great. The old milk factory is an old and partly protected industrial area close to Lake Mjøsa.
