The police in Oslo confirmed on Saturday morning that shots were fired on an open street at Hersleb upper secondary school at lower Tøyen on Friday night.

At 23 o’clock, the police received several reports of loud bangs in the area close to the Hersleb school. Site findings indicate that the bangs were indeed shots.

“No one has been injured, but we have made findings at the site that indicate shots, yes.

“We do not know what kind of weapon was used or who or what the shots were aimed at. We also do not know who was shooting,” operations manager Tor Gulbrandsen in the Oslo Police District told news bureau NTB.

The actual shooting took place in Herslebs gate, just outside Hersleb upper secondary school.
