Pilot tells of near collision with drone

A pilot at the school, Pilot Flight Academy said that on Thursday he came near to colliding with a drone at Gardermoen Airport according to NRK news.

The pilot described a drone of between 60 and 100 centimeters emerging out of nowhere at 10,000 feet altitude said Frode Granlund, CEO at the Pilot Flight Academy to NRK.

‘’The consequence of a collision could be anything from minor injuries to major damage to the aircraft or an emergency landing’’ said
Granlund.

The incident was reported to Avinor’s air traffic control immediately and also to the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority. The AIBN was also
notified of the incident.
