Major transport and construction projects could be cut or postponed as a result of the war in Ukraine, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (AP) warned on Sunday.
“We have some large projects related to transport, large buildings, and facilities, which require large investments… this is the time to go through them honestly and openly,” Støre said in an interview with the newspaper Adresseavisen.
“As we now have to make sure that the economy does not overheat, and because we know that we have to spend more money on emergency preparedness, defense, and on receiving refugees, there are some other projects – planned things – that we maybe have to push back or not implement,” he said.
