Poland is expelling 45 Russian diplomats. The diplomats have been accused of being spies by the Polish security service (ABW).

“The internal security service has set up a list of 45 people working in Poland under the guise of diplomatic activities,” ABW’s spokesman Stanislaw Zaryn stated.

According to him, the Russian spies have focused on multiple Polish targets.

Russia’s ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in Warsaw on Wednesday in connection with the expulsion.

According to the Russian news agency Ria, the Moscow Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they will retaliate against the Polish decision.

More than 2.1 million Ukrainians have fled to Poland since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
