An 18-year-old lost his driver’s license when he was caught driving at 198 kilometers per hour in an 80-zone on the E6 at Hjerkinn in Dovre on Friday night.

The 18-year-old was the fastest driver the police stopped on Friday night. He only had his driver’s license for a few months but lost it on the spot after breaching speed and safety rules.

A total of five drivers lost their driver’s license during the police’s control action on Friday, and 36 fines were issued.

The police warn that they will carry out more control actions in the future.
