The police in Ålesund decided to break up an outdoor party with several hundred young people on Sunday night. Several fights were reported.

The police in Møre og Romsdal estimate that around 100 young people gathered at the site. Several fights were reported, the police wrote on Twitter.

According to the police, the Red Cross warned them that several young people need health care, as they have taken ecstasy. Several police patrols were present on the scene.

“The conditions are a bit chaotic; there’s a lot of young people here,” operations manager Sindre Molnes told news bureau NTB.

The party took place at Voldsdalsberga. The police asked parents to come and pick up their kids.

“It is a well-known place where young people party,” Molnes said. Just before midnight, the police decided to break up the party.
