Police: Current information indicates that the three people who died in the accident in Flå were brothers

According to the police’s information, the three people who lost their lives in the traffic accident in Flå in Hallingdal on Monday night were brothers aged 17, 18, and 20.

The police are still waiting for final identification. However, they sent out a press release on Wednesday stating that all information now indicates that the three victims were brothers.

“The brothers were residents of Flå and Noresund and were on their way to Flå when the car they were driving collided with a truck on national road 7 at Gulsvik in Hallingdal,” the Southeastern Police District announced.

The police have not yet released the names of the three.

Case background

The accident was reported at 10:21 PM on Monday. Both vehicles ended up off the road, and the car started to burn. All three in the car died on the spot.

“We are beginning to understand what happened prior to the accident. At the same time, there is still a lot of investigation left before we can determine the course of events,” police station chief Brit Fyksen noted in the press release.

    Unspeakable – unimaginable – saddening tragedy. All sympathies possible to the parents.
