Police: Fire outside free church in Sandnes probably lit on purpose
A fire outside a free church on Hommersåk in Sandnes municipality was quickly extinguished on Christmas Day. According to the police, the fire was probably lit on purpose.
According to the police, there was a fire outside the door of a free church in Maudlandsveien on Hommersåk, but it was quickly extinguished.
“There is no natural reason for a fire to start in the entrance area by the church, so we believe that it has been lit on purpose. We do not know who did it,” operations manager Kurt Løklingholm in the Southwest Police District told newspaper Aftenbladet.
According to Løklingholm, the church was empty, and there was no danger of the fire spreading.
