Police: Five people have been killed in the Kongsberg attack

Police confirmed that five people have been killed in the incident in Kongsberg on Wednesday night. 

Two people have been injured, among them a policeman who was not at work.

Øyvind Aas, operations manager in the Buskerud police, confirmed the information at a press conference at 11:15 PM on Wednesday.

“There are five killed and two injured. One of the injured is a policeman who was in the shop but off-duty,” Aas said, adding that relatives of those killed and injured have been notified.

One man has been arrested after the incident took place. The police believe the perpetrator acted alone.
