Police: The four people who died in the Steigen traffic accident were from the Czech Republic

The four people who died in the accident in the Steigen tunnel on Sunday were from the Czech Republic, the police announced on Monday.

“All their relatives have been notified,” operations manager Ivar Bo Nilsson in the Nordland Police District told the newspaper VG.

A total of six adults were involved in the accident, of which one person was in a tractor, and five people were in a car.

Two people were sent to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
