Police want more tips after rape in Jessheim

Police have received several tips after a woman was raped at Jessheim on Saturday but still want more witnesses to get in touch.

“We have been contacted by people via our tip line. We are now working to follow the tips we have received,” police attorney Camilla Ek Sørensen in the Eastern Police District told news bureau NTB.

She added that the work of mapping the incident continues and that tactical and technical investigations are still ongoing.

“We still want tips from people who were in the area,” Sørensen said.

The Eastern Police District was notified of what turned out to be a rape in Jessheim on Saturday. 

The woman, who is in her 30s, was walking alone when she was assaulted.

The perpetrator is described as a white man with short hair. He was allegedly wearing a dark blue or black windbreaker, as well as yellow-brown or beige trousers.
