Several Poles in Oslo have received death threats over the telephone recently and told to put money and valuables outside their homes, according to police.

The suspects call and pretend to be police, or make death threats. Those called are told to put money and valuables outside their door. The suspects also speak Polish, Oslo police district reports.

On Tuesday, there were reports of three incidents where the victims followed the orders and posted valuables, operations manager Gjermund Stokkli told NRK.

– “Several of the victims have become very scared and have put money out. Some have put out a five-figure amounts,” says Stokkli.
