After Wednesday’s political drama in Sweden, the leader of the Swedish parliament (Riksdag), Andreas Norlén, must once again start the talks on the formation of a government.

According to Norlén’s press contact, he will talk to leaders of all eight parties in the Riksdag on Thursday.

The leader of the Riksdag will probably talk to the party leaders via telephone or video calls.

After the talks, Norlén will announce how the process will proceed. Magdalena Andersson will probably be proposed as the new prime minister with a minority government consisting of the Social Democrats, according to NTB.

A new prime ministerial vote in the Riksdag can be held on Monday at the earliest. If the proposal is presented on Thursday, the vote must take place no later than Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, the Social Democrats’ leader Magdalena Andersson was elected as Sweden’s first female prime minister. She resigned on the same day as her budget was voted down.
