Potatoes create queues on E6 towards Oslo: “There are insane amounts of potatoes in all directions”

After a truck lost a lot of potatoes in the roadway, queues formed on the E6 between Hvamkrysset and Tangerudkrysset in the direction of Oslo on Friday morning.

“There are insane amounts of potatoes in all directions. It will probably take a long time before they can clean up all this. The whole highway is full of potatoes. It is a special sight,” Daniel Slartmann, who has tipped newspaper Romerikes Blad, said.

Drivers are being asked to drive carefully.

A contractor began sweeping the road, but there is a queue in the area that will probably last for several hours to come.

“Motorists must slow down. It gets slippery when you drive over the potatoes, and we need a sweeper to clean up.

“You have to slow down – also in the public transport field. Drive carefully,” traffic operator Hans Aredal at Vegtrafikksentralen warned.
