Parish priest Veronika Johnsen Lepperød in Trysil has a classic Jaguar. She plans to bless both cars and motorists during a Jaguar meet-up.
According to the local newspaper Trysil-Engerdal, the meet-up will take place next Saturday, August 6, at the rectory. Around 30 old Jaguars are expected, Trysil Municipality stated.
According to the newspaper Dagen, priest Monica Østeig in Lofoten took the initiative for the car meet-up.
She has a Jaguar XJ from 1969 herself, which she got as a present when she got married last year.
“The procession that will be blessed will receive a certificate that shows that they and their cars are blessed,” parish priest Lepperød said.
As part of the meet-up, there will also be a Jaguar procession through the center of Trysil and Nybergsund.
