According to newspaper VG’s prime minister popularity poll, Erna Solberg (H) is the people’s preferred prime minister. Jonas Gahr Støre (AP) and Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (SP) are evenly matched.
In a survey Respons Analyze has carried out for VG, 38% of Norwegians said they want Erna Solberg to continue leading the country.
A total of 23% prefer Støre, while 21% want Vedum as prime minister after the 2021 election.
If the choice only included of Solberg and Støre, 50% answered they would pick Solberg.
That is up 5 percentage points from August.
On the other hand, 39% would choose Støre, an increase from 36%.
The proportion of those who are uncertain or who do not want to choose either decreased from 19% in the previous survey to 11% in this one.
