Prime ministerial poll: Støre secures solid lead over Solberg

According to the newspaper Aftenposten's prime ministerial poll, Labor Party (AP) leader Jonas Gahr Støre has a solid lead over the Conservative Party's (H) Erna Solberg as the preferred prime ministerial candidate.

According to the newspaper Aftenposten’s prime ministerial poll, Labor Party (AP) leader Jonas Gahr Støre has a solid lead over the Conservative Party’s (H) Erna Solberg as the preferred prime ministerial candidate.

40.5% of voters now prefer Støre as prime minister after the election, the survey carried out by Norstat for Aftenposten shows. That is almost 8% more than in the same survey in April.

The survey was carried out in the period between August 30 and September 6. A total of 969 people participated in the survey. 

On the other hand, 31% of those surveyed said that they wanted Erna Solberg as prime minister, while 10% opted for Center Party (SP) leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum.
