Princess Ingrid Alexandra is 16 years old

Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s daughter, who is second in the line of succession to the Norwegian throne, has turned 16.

The Norwegian News Agency, NTB announced her birth on January 21, 2004: “Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave birth to a girl who is second in the line of succession to the throne at 09.14 on Wednesday,”

The Princess was named Ingrid Alexandra. On Tuesday, she turned 16. Her birthday was celebrated privately and otherwise, she was doing kickboxing, skiing and water sports, announced the Kongehuset website.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra will get increasingly more official assignments as she gets older. She started at Uranienborg school last fall after several years at Oslo International School.
