This year’s winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, has arrived in Oslo.
The plane with Santos and his entourage landed at Gardermoen military airport at 9:30am on Friday. Just over ten minutes later, after the large delegation in the plane had come out, came the president himself.
With the party is Santos’ wife, María Clemencia Rodríguez, and the couple’s three children.
Among the president’s guests are also the two former FARC hostages and politicians, Clara Rojas and Ingrid Betancourt.
Both were captured in 2002 and were released six years later.
Santos will go straight into meetings with Parliament, before he poses at a press conference at the Nobel Institute at 1pm.
